I had everything going against me...

My lifting partner cancelled. You can always do more and be pushed more, it feels like, with somebody else yelling at you that doesn't have the weight on their back.

MY ipod was dead. In order to go off into a world of chains, barbells, weight plates, and sweat... it helps to have screaming and music. It's almost like white noise except with a beat and words. And having headphones in also deters people from distracting me during my workout.

On top of these things I decided to not use straps and a belt today to test my MAN GRIP and perfect my form to get a good core stabilization workout. I also used an overhand (pronated) grip on all warmup sets and an alternating grip for the working sets.

I had a block of time in my day to workout. Not a huge roadblock, but with CPR training, giving pt evals, doing payroll, and helping organize an event on campus, my day is pretty packed... WHAT did you say? i know, i know, shut up and lift.

Leg day:
deadlift (traditional stance)
135x12
225x15
315x6
365 2x6
385 1x3 I couldn't hold onto the bar anymore
225x12

front squat (no belt)
245 3x6

Leg press machine (high foot placement)
400 3x10

Leg curl
150 3x10

I did some really low intensity cardio afterwards for ten minutes to keep the blood flowing and then foam rolled and stretched.

All that goodness on a day where everything was stacked against me...
