During the past week we’ve discussed a number of great links; on Google+, Twitter, Facebook and so on. Here are a few of my favourites.
- Jamming to Music at the Gym Helps Physiologically : It’s well-known that music can help your workouts, but how? Fascinating research.
- 61-Year-Old Aiming for 200th Sub-3:00 Marathon : The incredible Doug Kurtis.
- Eating practices of the best endurance athletes in the world : There’s some very interesting research surrounding nutrition and endurance athletics. We noted this study in particular, as well as a couple of books that Chas Melichar recommended – The Feedzone Cookbook and Sports Nutrition for Endurance Athletes.
- Vitamin D may Improve Muscle Performance and Neural Plasticity, according to new study : We’ve talked a number of times about the benefits of Vitamin D, and the research continues. Good stuff.
We also talked about walkable (and cyclable) cities, the Solar-Assisted Rhoades Car (which is actually a bicycle) and a whole lot more. Join the discussion in the Straight to the Bar Community on Google+.
