During the past week we’ve discussed a number of great links; on Google+, Twitter, Nuzzel The Daily ‘Paper’ and so on. Here are a few of my favourites.
- Need to Remember Something? Exercise 4 Hours Later : Interesting research on exercise and memory. A great many potential uses for something like this – in schools, care facilities etc.
- The City of Rajshahi and How it Tackled Air Pollution : Wonderful story – would love to see it repeated in a number of other cities worldwide.
- NHS to Offer Various Devices and Apps (to help people manage illnesses) : Think diabetes monitors, cardiac devices like the AliveCor and so on.
- Wearable Tech and the NBA : Interesting – the use of wearable devices (for everything to ‘feeling‘ where your opponents are to monitoring your breathing/pulse etc) in sports. Suspect it’ll be widely used in a very short time (a matter of years).
- An Exoskeleton for Kids : Fantastic.
We also talked about IBM’s ‘Watson’ and the ADA, Guerilla bike lanes and a whole lot more. Keep up with the World of Health & Fitness in the Straight to the Bar Community on Google+.
