When I woke this morning I was acutely aware of the usual signs of a cold announcing its arrival; the sniffling, dreariness and an overall desire to simply roll over and go back to sleep. This seems to be the price I always pay for having a strange fascination with taking photographs in the rain.
With this in mind, I decided to test the waters with a few light sets of decline bench presses, just to make sure I wasn’t going to collapse in the middle of things. These didn’t feel too bad, and were quickly followed by several triples of the explosive variety, a few french presses and dips to give the triceps a quick burn.
The dips seemed somewhat more difficult than usual, and the chin-ups which followed were definitely testing things. I decided to end the session there. Time to lock the camera away – looks like rain again tomorrow.

Flat bench press (explosive) 9×3@40kg
Barbell French press 4×10@20kg
