During the past week we’ve discussed a number of great links; on Google+, Twitter, the Forums and so on. Here are a few of my favourites.
- Fish Oil Helps Slow Age-Related Decline : Interesting research at the University of Aberdeen, looking at the ways in which fish oils can reduce age-related muscle loss.
- Wiihabilitation : The New York Times takes another look at rehabilitation work using the Wii. Questions for all the physical therapists out there – are you currently using things like the Wii with your patients? In what way?
- Why Time Slows for Sports Stars : Researchers at University College London help explain why some athletes seem to have a bit more time at crucial points. Nice one.
- Dream Engineering : Researchers at MIT have successfully manipulated the dreams of rats. Could humans be next?
- The ENCODE Project : In a breakthrough move, the incredible ENCODE project has determined what the bulk of our DNA – known colloquially as ‘junk DNA‘ – actually does. Now the fun part begins.
NB : to see all of these as they appear (and to share your own thoughts on things), the simplest way is to follow me on Google+. You’ll see these, and a whole lot more.
