During the past week we’ve discussed a number of great links; on Facebook, Twitter, in The Daily ‘Paper’ and so on. Here are a few of my favourites.
- Cannabis May Be Able To Help Prevent And Treat COVID-19 : This would certainly be interesting.
- Apple and Google’s COVID-19 Contact Tracing Tech Is Ready : Twenty two countries have requested the API so far, with many others to likely follow quickly.
- The Race Is On For A COVID-19 Test You Can Take At Home : By the end of the year, people may be able to test themselves.
- iFixit Launches Massive Repair Database For Ventilators And Other Medical Device : To help hospitals maintain and fix crucial equipment during the COVID-19 pandemic, and beyond.
- First Human Trial Of COVID-19 Vaccine Finds It Is Safe And Induces Rapid Immune Response : A very long way to go, but it’s an extremely promising start.
We also talked about The promise of automatically recording and transcribing your visits to doctors & physiotherapists, Identification of a gene linked to thinness (to help tackle obesity) and a whole lot more. Keep up with the World of Health & Fitness on this site, and in the Straight to the Bar pages on Facebook, Twitter and in The Daily ‘Paper’. Absolutely free.
NB : If you’re stuck at home for a while, and would still love to get the occasional workout in, swing by the guide page. Whether you’re sans-equipment or already have a home gym set up, these suggestions can really make a difference.
