A great week here on Straight to the Bar. The highlights :
- Articles : I took a look at several of the great DIY equipment projects we’ve seen recently, Rachel shared some superb tips for quick, Paleo-friendly eating and Derek detailed the basics of using a foam roller. Brilliant.
- Videos : Adam demonstrated some superb grip-training exercises, we saw a great example of wrapping hands for boxing and the many ways of increasing the grip component of exercises with the addition of a towel or two. Good stuff.
- Elsewhere : watch the world of Strongman through the eyes of Sniper Performance, view the grip world through flagmonkey and get a serious dose of combat over at Dan’s Muay Thai MMA. Good stuff.
- Ideas : learn the Underbar 360, grab a pair of handles and try some Dinnie Stone training and add a little weight to your jump-rope work. Good fun.
Bonus – Parkour Awareness Month
The Hawaii Parkour team brought equipment to several popular beach parks, to demonstrate Parkour training and allow curious onlookers to try it themselves. Nice one.
