During the past week we’ve discussed a number of great links; on Google+, Twitter, the Daily ‘Paper’ and so on. Here are a few of my favourites.
- The Changes in Sports’ Performance Over the Years : This is a fascinating talk on the various changes in athletic performance over the years – how much is due to technology, and how much is due to improvements in skill. Over to David Epstein.
- More on the possibilities of 3D-Printed Cartilage : If you suffer from arthritis, or have ever had an injury which results in bone rubbing on bone, you’ll be incredibly happy about this. The promise of 3D-Printed Cartilage.
- Gymchat on Grip Strength : This was a fantastic discussion of the training, benefits and competition surrounding the World of Grip. If you’re serious about getting stronger & reducing injuries, make sure you watch this one.
- Extremely High-Tech Bikes : Built-in navigation, proximity sensors and a mesh network. The Vanhawks Valour bikes.
- Recharging Aging Brains with Blood Plasma : This is an interesting area of research, potentially leading to treatments for various age-related brain conditions. Nice one.
We also talked about the monitoring of Diabetes, an ‘off switch’ for the brain and a whole lot more. Keep up with the World of Health & Fitness in the Straight to the Bar Community on Google+.
