I love hearing everyones’ fitness backgrounds, it’s always fascinating to hear how someone got started. Here’s how Alana Grimolfson began her own training journey.

Hey Scott,
I’ve been training for the past 13 years. I started when I was 19yrs old​ playing University hockey. From there I got my degree in Kinesiology and became and a Physical Education teacher. I love strength training, but got into triathlons a few years ago. I completed Ironman Canada in 2011, and from there really realized the importance of strength training vs high volume cardio. Since then I have been going to seminars (including Dan John), and learning as much as I can about building strength and staying injury free and healthy. I coach high school hockey right now, but my goal is to become the school’s strength and conditioning coach. Thanks for the warm welcome.
