During the past week we’ve discussed a number of great links; on Google+, Twitter, Nuzzel The Daily ‘Paper’ and so on. Here are a few of my favourites.
- Still Running At 102 : I love seeing stories like this. Man Kaur is still running at 102 years of age.
- Strength Training Improves Cardiovascular Health : Perhaps unsurprising (though the amounts are intriguing). And I agree with the idea of recommending strength-training as a partial treatment for particular conditions.
- Gene Therapy Removes Core Component Of Parkinson’s Disease (In Rats, For Now) : Promising indeed.
- Artificial Synaptic Device Simulates The Function Of The Human Brain : So many potential uses. Incredible.
- Creating Drugs Which Slow/Halt/Reverse Specific Diseases Of Aging : Unity Biotechnology’s ‘removal of senescent cells‘ approach is promising indeed – I’m really looking forward to the results of the osteoarthritis trial.
We also talked about Discovery of new neurons in the inner ear leads to new therapies for hearing disorders, Treadmill desks and memory and a whole lot more. Keep up with the World of Health & Fitness in the Straight to the Bar Community on Google+, and in the Daily ‘Newspaper‘ on Nuzzel. Absolutely free.
