This week on Straight to the Bar...

During the past week we’ve discussed a number of great links; on Facebook, Twitter, in The Daily ‘Paper’ and so on. Here are a few of my favourites.
  • Can Some Drugs Delay Aging? : The anti-aging articles continue – this time via the Washington Post, looking at the TAME study.
  • Israel Continues Its ‘Green Pass’ Reopening, Bars With 40% Of The Country Now Vaccinated Against COVID-19 : A gradual return to normalcy, with restaurants now permitted to resume indoor dining and green pass holders being able also now have a drink at a bar.
  • ‘Landmark’ Schizophrenia Drug in the Wings? : Promising indeed.
  • A New COVID-19 Test To Detect Past Infections : Interesting idea.
  • Rapid 3D-Printing Of Organs : Fantastic.
We also talked about Eli Lilly’s Alzheimer’s trial data, Google offers heart and respiratory rate measurements using just the smartphone camera and a whole lot more. Keep up with the World of Health & Fitness on this site, and in the Straight to the Bar pages on Facebook, Twitter and in The Daily ‘Paper’. Absolutely free.
NB : If you’re stuck at home for a while, and would still love to get the occasional workout in, swing by the guide page. Whether you’re sans-equipment or already have a home gym set up, these suggestions can really make a difference.
Incidentally, if you’d like to dive into this topic a little deeper (and I wouldn’t blame you for that – fascinating area), grab the daily Aging & Longevity newsletter. Dive in.

Over to you. Drop us a line on Twitter ( @scottbird ), or add a comment below.

Cheers.

NB : if you love talking about strength-training as much as I do, you might also like to check out the weekly newsletter. A regular dose of fitness-focussed discussions, absolutely free.

And if you'd like to check out any of the stuff mentioned above (or in the comments), swing by Amazon. Huge assortment of fitness gear.

Logan's 'Quarantine Sale' Courses

As much as I love training with free weights (and the occasional machine, for specific things) I'm partial to the occasional dose of bodyweight goodness. Particularly when travelling.

If you're keen to dive into this training approach even deeper, you may wish to check out Logan's 'Quarantine Sale' Courses.
